Cologne, 27.05.2022 / The Klett success story began in 1897 when Ernst Klett the Elder took over the "Königliche Hofbuchdruckerei zu Gutenberg" in Stuttgart. 125 years later, what was once a print shop with a billboard institute and a small publishing house has become one of Europe's leading educational companies. The 80 companies in 18 countries include educational media publishers as well as institutions such as daycare centers, schools, and institutes for adult and continuing education.
For all its diversity, the family-owned company remains committed to its mission of education. With its holistic educational offering, Klett aims to create the conditions for people to develop their individual talents and act responsibly within the community. CBS International Business School has been part of the Klett family and this mission for seven years.
On the occasion of its 125th anniversary, the group of companies is once again putting its focus firmly on sustainability: "Becoming climate-neutral together and setting an example for 'education for sustainable development" - this is what the members of the Klett Group have set themselves as their goal for the future in their anniversary year.
At the Klett subsidiary CBS, sustainable studying, living, and researching have been at the top of the agenda for a decade now. As an international management university, it aims to impart not only the necessary knowledge but also values and skills that enable responsible handling of economic and ecological challenges in a global context. "As for tomorrow's specialists and managers, our graduates are ideally trained to establish sustainability in companies and to lead them responsibly," says President Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Fröhlich.
