You can look forward to a vibrant, exciting, and inspiring campus life and student life - at the respective CBS campuses in Cologne, Mainz, Potsdam, Aachen, Hamburg, Hannover, Neuss & Solingen as well as in the cities themselves. The campus life is characterised by common goals as well as the pulsating rhythm of lectures and events. A good atmosphere on campus contributes to successful studies. At CBS, we attach great importance to this, for example through many events, student initiatives, and offers of support that helps you relax and make your life easier. At CBS campuses, campus life also benefits from an international atmosphere. Many students come from abroad, many study programmes are taught in English and most study programmes include a semester abroad during which you get to know another campus and another country. Which helps in strengthening your intercultural skills.
Student life off-campus provides an important balance between concentration and relaxation. Cologne is an exciting city to study and live in. There is a quarter dominated by students and numerous universities, you have the impressive party and cultural opportunities of a colourful megacity, you have highlights like the Cologne Cathedral and the carnival - and the unique neighborhoods in the small districts, the "Veedeln".
Study and live in Mainz? The city is extremely popular among students, and the high ratio of 40,000 students in a city with 200,000 inhabitants proves it. Student life, with its pubs and bars and opportunities outside the universities, is very pronounced - with short distances. The friendly CBS campus is also excellently located, namely directly on the Rhine and close to the railway station "Römisches Theater", making it easily accessible by public transportion.
Living and studying in Potsdam means a lot of greenery, a lot of water, many students, a lot of science, all the possibilities of nearby Berlin - and an inspiring environment. The CBS campus offers a unique start-up atmosphere and film business flair. At the same time, you can fully benefit from the close connection to Berlin's party, cultural and business life.
For many students, university sport is the perfect balance to learning; you can improve your abilities in your favourite sports, train easily, discover new sports and make friends. In any case, you will develop yourself further in university sport. CBS cooperates with the other universities in Cologne, Mainz, and Potsdam for campus sport so that you have access to the greatest possible variety of sports.
Get personally involved - with the CBS student initiatives in Cologne, Mainz, and Potsdam. Take on responsibility, organise events in a team, network, work for charity or on business ideas, do sports, have fun: Through your involvement in the CBS student initiatives, you will acquire valuable soft skills and enrich your life in the long term.
Studying at CBS is a unique experience. Due to a wide range of student services. Our service teams support you before the start of your studies, during your studies, and before starting your career. For example, the International Office helps you in planning your semesters abroad and the Career Service is your partner for the start of your career path.
At the largest CBS campus in Cologne, you can look forward to a small canteen and cafeteria where one of Cologne's leading event caterers cooks for the students. From breakfast to the final spurt of the day, you can get excellent food, tasty coffee, and small snacks there and if the weather is fine, you can enjoy them on the terrace.
A semester abroad is firmly integrated into most CBS study programmes. We often hear that it is "one of the best experiences in life" - both personally, professionally, and for your career. For this, we use our network of 120 attractive partner universities that share our standards and values. We provide comprehensive support in the organisation of the semester abroad.
With Erasmus+, the European Union supports stays abroad, for students. Our student service facilities will advise you whether and which grants are available for you and how you can apply for them. Erasmus+ also includes the recognition of foreign ECTS credits, which is relevant for your semester abroad. It is also possible to complete an exchange semester at CBS.
