What is a Master Double Degree?

A Master Double Degree gives qualified students the opportunity to obtain a degree both at CBS and at EDC Paris Business School.

One Study Program - Two Master’s Degrees

Make the most of two years of studies by gaining not just one Master degree, but two. The CBS offers a Master Double Degree Program, which is fully taught in English in cooperation with the renowned EDC Paris Business School. After having completed the first year of studies in Cologne, you will study abroad in Paris for the third semester. Over the summer, you will complete a mandatory internship in Germany or France of at least eight weeks. The fourth semester is reserved for research and writing your Master Thesis, which can be done in Paris or Cologne. Your Master thesis will be completed under supervision of CBS, with an EDC professor serving as a second supervisor, if applicable. After successfully completing all assessments you will be able to gain a Master of Arts in International Business Core at CBS as well as a Master degree in International Business from EDC Paris within four semesters.

EDC – Study at one of the “Grande Écoles”

EDC Paris Business School was founded in 1950 and is located in the modernist district “La Défense”, which is the financial and business hub of France. EDC is one of the prestigious “Grandes Écoles” which are known for their very restricted selection process leading to a small number of students.

If you are interested in Luxury Marketing, EDC is one of the leading Business Schools for you. The EDC Alumni Network gives you fantastic opportunities to make new contacts for your future career in different business fields, starting, for example, with study-related internships.

Study in Paris

Paris is the educational, economic, political as well as cultural heart of France. The possibilities here are endless. Anybody who wants to make their way in this metropolis of two million inhabitants, must show a lot of self-initiative. The university supports its students with many different services like language courses, or advice for housing. But they don´t offer a full service. However, if you wish to complete two degrees within two years, you won´t back away from a few challenges – n´est-ce pas? By the way: If you plan to work with a French company in the future, it is highly recommendable for you to optimize your French language skills during your studies.

Admission requirements

You have successfully completed a Business-/ Management related undergraduate study program and know the English language at a high level? Congrats, you meet the main requirements. In order to be fully eligible to take the Double Degree Master with EDC Paris, you just need to enroll into the MA in International Business Core program.

CBS opens 4 scholarships per year for this Double Degree. A committee selects candidates on the basis of their academic performance and motivation. The strongest candidates receive an Erasmus+ scholarship, which includes a tuition fee waiver as well as a monthly scholarship that will cover parts of your living expenses.

Study Advisory

During the first semester of your Master Program, a decision is taken on whether you will be able to take up the Double Degree. Therefore, it is important that you plan your studies carefully from the very start of the program. Our study advisors will guide you through the different steps in order to ensure that your studies in Cologne and Paris will be a success.
