Student Life
After the CBS International Business School (CBS) had already merged with the entire university area of Management and Technology of the European University of Applied Sciences (EUFH) at the beginning of the year, the administration and faculty now also welcomed dual freshmen into their studies for the first time in the winter semester 22/23 after the students in the full-time as well as part-time area with start in August. Of the total of almost 1,200 new study starters at the CBS, more than 400 students have opted for dual face-to-face studies this year. The dual sector is thus growing strongly - young locations such as Solingen, for example, were able to record a doubling of enrollment figures.
After the successful integration of the dual offer into the CBS, a full cohort of dual Bachelor students could also be welcomed at the Mainz location. This means that not only can further cooperation partners from the business world be supported in their employee development - the addition of the dual programs at Bachelor's and Master's level enables students to decide between various time models for their studies according to individual preferences. What has already been so well received in Mainz for this year's winter semester is to be continued next year at the Berlin/Potsdam site. "The start of dual studies is a further, exciting development step for CBS at the Berlin/Potsdam location and, in addition to our English-language full-time studies and Prep4University, another important building block for the campus. The noticeably high level of interest in the dual study program on the part of both companies and interested parties ensures great anticipation and an extra boost of motivation!" says Sebastian Rabe, location manager at the Berlin/Potsdam campus.
Those wo would like to study in Germany, but do not meet the dormal requirements for this of the CBS. With years of expertise, the Prep4University program offers an intensive and targeted preparation course for the Assessment test (W and T course) for subsequent studies in Germany for economics and social sciences as well as technical, mathematical and natural science courses. This year's more than 100 participants in the courses, who can chose between German and English at the locations in the Cologne and Berlin/Potsdam, also beenefit from a special mentoring program for individual future planning, a buddy program and study skills workshops.
All in all, this start of studies at the CBS is also completely under the motto of practical learning and international experience as a springboard for a successful career. The CBS wishes all students a good and successful start to their studies as well as an unforgettable study time.
