Cologne/Mainz/Potsdam, 24.08.21 / On Monday, more than 500 first-semester students celebrated the start of their studies at CBS International Business School with a festive evening.
In the Livestream, personalities from the private university and the business world motivated the students for the new phase of their lives:

Students from the CBS campuses in Cologne, Mainz and, for the first time, Potsdam took part in the online event. The Bachelor's degree programme "International Business (B.A.)" starts here in the winter semester. The new campus is located on the grounds of the Babelsberg film studios and is equipped with innovative design and state-of-the-art technology. In Cologne, the Master's programme "Sport Management and Applied Sport Psychology (M.A.)" starts for the first time: it imparts knowledge from business administration with a focus on the sports industry and on health management. It also explores the role of the psyche as a success factor in sport and sports business.
For the winter semester, lectures and courses will once again start on-site at the campuses. The general 3G hygiene rules apply. Special CBS service: If students are unable to attend lectures on campus, they can access the lectures digitally. For the digital quality of its teaching, the private university of applied sciences was voted one of the TOP digital education providers in Germany in the ranking of the magazine "WirtschaftsWoche".

Prof. Dr. Uwe-Wilhelm Bloos, Managing Director of the CBS and Vice President for Programme Development and Quality Assurance in Teaching, welcomed the guests in this festive setting:

Lord Mayor Michael Ebling, Dr. Grunjan Bhardwaj, found & CEO of Innoplexus and CBS students wished the students much success and an eventful time. Alisa Gissmann experienced a particularly happy moment. Hans Beth (Board of Directors of the TSC Mainz) and Jan Hanelt (President of the Rhineland-Palatinate Tennis Association) presented her with the sports scholarship donated by the CBS and the TSC Mainz for particularly talented athletes.
"On the sports field and in the lecture hall, ambition and talent, but also team spirit and solidarity are sought-after characteristics of high achievers," affirmed Prof. Dr. Alexander Westenbaum, Academic Director of the CBS Campus Mainz. The opening ceremony ended with photos of the freshmen and a get-together with champagne reception in the inner courtyard of the castle.
CBS International Business School is an internationally oriented private business school located in Cologne, Mainz and Potsdam. It specializes in business administration degree programs according to international standards.
