Was ist Digital Management? Und warum solltest Du das studieren?

Der digitale Wandel stellt Unternehmen nicht nur vor die Herausforderung, Prozesse und Geschäftsabläufe technisch neu zu strukturieren, sondern ihre Mitarbeiter/-innen während des gesamten Change-Prozesses aktiv einzubeziehen. Dies erfordert von Führungskräften besondere Kompetenzen, die über das betriebswirtschaftliche Fach- und Methodenwissen hinausgehen. In der Spezialisierung „Digital Management“ im Bachelor-Studiengang „International Business“ erwirbst Du wichtige Fachkenntnisse und Fertigkeiten, um durch digitale Strategien die Effizienz und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit von Unternehmen zu steigern und neue digitale Geschäftsmodelle zu entwickeln. Neben einem Grundverständnis von digitalen Technologien und ihrem ressourcenschonenden Einsatz in Unternehmen lernen die Studierenden Methoden und Techniken des Innovations- und Change-Managements kennen. Die Spezialisierung „Digital Management“ befähigt die Absolventen/-innen dazu, digitale Transformationsprozesse in internationalen Unternehmen betriebswirtschaftlich zu gestalten.

Digital Management - Was sind die Studieninhalte? Internationale Betriebswirtschaftslehre und Informationstechnik

Als Studierende/r der Bachelor-Spezialisierung „Digital Management“ lernst Du die Besonderheiten der digitalen Wirtschaft aus theoretischem, strategischen und technologischen Blickwinkeln zu betrachten. Dabei setzt Du Dich mit Ansatzpunkten für die digitale Organisation, digitalen Produkten und Prozessen auseinander und erarbeitest neue Geschäftsmodelle mithilfe von Techniken der Ideen-, Visions- und Prototypenentwicklung. Durch eine Einführung in das digitale Marketing erwirbst Du zudem ein Grundverständnis dafür, wie Produkte oder Dienstleistungen mithilfe digitaler Technologien online vermarktet werden.

The overall objective of this course is to provide students with possibility of applying their business knowledge on concrete business situation (real or scenario-based), related to the field of their specialization. By the end of the module students should be able to:

Bachelor Thesis12 ECTS ? !

During your 6th semester you are working on your Bachelor thesis. You have 12 weeks to complete your thesis and the subject is freely selectible. A supervisor from CBS will support you and you can write the thesis in collaboration with a company as well.

Bachelor Thesis Tutorial1 ECTS ? !

During the Bachelor Thesis Tutorial you will learn the fundamentals for your Bachelor thesis: Defining the topic as well as structuring the thesis and you will learn the theoretical knowledge for scientific working.

Business Simulation Game4 ECTS ? !

In a business simulation game participants have to manage their own virtual company which operates in the same market as other participant-operated competitors. This involves making typical management decisions in realistic environments. Beside the deepening and active examination of subject-specific knowledge the simulation games also include the team environment, where interaction, communication and prioritization are of paramount importance. Participants learn how to manage risk and uncertainty while time is limited and information constrained. Group-reflections help to take over different perspectives and to discuss pros and cons of content- as well as behaviour-related actions.

Digital Supply Chain & Smart Factory3 ECTS ? !

The module introduces the OODA process model (Observe, Orient, Decide, und Act). This model allows to analyze how digitalization technologies can be used to support and analyze the provision and exchange of data, automation processes, human machine interaction, machine to machine interaction, and the use of data in all stages of the supply chain (procurement, design, production, logistics), in order to secure competitiveness. Damit Du Dich schon während des Digital Business Management Studiums optimal auf den Arbeitsmarkt vorbereiten und verschiedene Branchen kennenlernen kannst, sind mehrere Praxisphasen im Lehrplan des Digital Business Management Studiums integriert.
