Cologne Business School All "Top-Notch"

Press Release

In the current issue of Zeit magazine's campus edition, which was released Monday morning, the results of the CHE rankings were published for studies programs in business administration.

In all five categories (Overall Study Situation, Courses Offered, Academic Feasibility, Support from Teachers, International Orientation) only three higher education institutions in Germany were ranked top of the class, and the Cologne Business School was one of them.

A look at the review's detailed analysis clearly underlines this evaluation. "When you compare the individual indicators and look at them against the average values of all universities being ranked, CBS scores particularly well in the categories that are often otherwise considered to be the biggest weaknesses at universities in Germany," comments Prof. Dr. Ingvill C. Mochmann, vice president of research at CBS. "Whereas students at other institutions complain about constantly overcrowded lecture halls, CBS received a perfect score (1.0) from all 100 respondents in the category, "Appropriate Number of Course Participants". As well, the categories, "Student-Teacher Ratio" with a 1.2 rating and "Teacher Accessibility" with a 1.3 also received excellent reviews," she explains.

President of CBS, Prof. Dr. habil. Elisabeth Fröhlich said in conclusion, "In the past few years we have been continuously expanding our portfolio as well as increasing the level of expertise among faculty. This ranking is a great compliment for all those at the Cologne Business School responsible for teaching, research and administration."

The individual results can be see online here.
